Shepard Fairey created custom cover art and was featured in a piece titled The Good Shepard in the August 26–September 1, 2015 issue of Time Out New York. In the fall preview issue, writer Drew Toal speaks to Fairey about his upcoming show at Jacob Lewis Gallery, accessibility in his practice, and the issues he is most passionate about.

The works are in-depth collages, meant to represent the layers of flyers covering the city's streets, with hidden Easter eggs (of an oil tower, for example, or licking flames). One image in the exhibition of new paintings,A Message from Our Sponsor, "is a comment on the elite status and immense power of the oil and gas industries," says Fairey. And another, Natural Springs is a humorous play on the names of organizations like Americans for Prosperity, which havea pleasant name but can cause harm to most and good for only a few elite."
