Shepard Fairey on ABC News
Olivia Smith of ABC News stopped by Jacob Lewis Gallery to live stream a preview of Shepard Fairey’s exhibition, On Our Hands. Fairey discusses his history as an artist and activist and talks in depth about several of his favorite pieces in the exhibition.
From ABC: "Fairey is well known for his iconic Obama "Hope" poster from the 2008 presidential election, but has been creating art since the 1980s. The Charleston, South Carolina, native, who has also been labeled an activist, gave ABC News a private tour and a sneak peek of his work today, which will not be open to the public until Thursday. The exhibition will be up until Oct. 24. The last time Fairey, 45, had a solo exhibition in New York City was in 2010."
